Wondering why things work and what is beyond the next ridge. Having the courage to go where no man has gone before. Getting new knowledge from others and using new knowledge to make something different are characteristics that are embedded in human nature but only become evident when combined with other ingredients in the right environment. Great creativity requires hard facts, wild imagination, and non-logical jumps forward that are then proved to be right by working backward to known principles. Only the rebellious can do it!

Our new system is called a Creatocracy, which is designed in accordance with nature´s wise examples. The design is of a self-organising and self-regulating global Creatocracy.

A Creatocracy is based upon the principles offered by nature´s examples of creating living, open networks; allowing for individual choice, competition, fitness, power laws, emergence, stability; and incorporates a central nervous system made up of the systems within the Creatocracy.

This section introduces the new systems that will be the apparatus of a Creatocracy and explains how they will emerge and be controlled in accordance with nature´s examples through the emergance of a new:

  • conflict resolution system.

  • global Creatobank.

  • world currency called Creatolla

  • taxation system.

  • world collective financing system.

  • creative financing assembly.

  • service providers for everything from health to entertainment.

Autonomy and Accountability

In a political sense, there is no comparison between a Creatocracy and a voting Demonocracy. Currently communities are granted one limited choice between very similar parties every four years, who force the population to trust the policies and administrative capabilities of one central leader often without experience of administering a community let alone a state. Then that government levies distress upon anyone who does not comply with its policies.

Instead in a Creatocracy the populace will be given continuous freedom to choose as they desire when and whom they found the most attractive leader or service provider. They would have a constant supply of providers to choose from. There is no need for trust in this system, because each hub (leader/provider) would have a recorded history available for review, and each would have organically grown according to its fitness and ability from a small node (person) into a highly connected hub (leader/provider). This follows nature´s example of survival of the fittest within an evolutionary stable society!

In a Creatocracy there is no central leader, rather many different leaders/providers who are authorities in their own specialist field of expertise. They rise and fall according to past success whilst providing services to the community.

In a Creatocracy, freedom of choice, and accountability is integral, allowing the general populace the autonomy to live without "permission from the rogue that assumes authority which could safely be trusted, not only to no single person, but to no council or senate whatever. Which would nowhere, be so dangerous as in the hands of a man who had folly and presumption enough to fancy himself fit to exercise it." Adam Smith.

In a Creatocracy there is no requirement for members to vote for political parties to run councils and collective projects. Instead the community has available to them the open choice of many such collective councils and services.

The current model adopted by all governments is that of the star whereby the winner takes all. As nature has shown by her examples this is not a strong network design, because of it´s sensitivity to unattractive plans and will eventually collapse as a result.

The strongest design for decision-making in society is the power law model. In this model there is normally one very strong highly connected hub, who competes with a few slightly less connected hubs. Thereafter a continuous stream of less connected hubs descend until we find the vast majority of nodes who have only a few connections. This model ensures that if one hub (highly connected node), becomes infected for example with an unattractive plan, the vast majority of the nodes could use preferential attachment (natural selection), to break their link with the unhealthy hub. Then could reconnect to another highly connected hub (a competitor to the former). Naturally they would choose a more attractive hub free of the unattractive plan!

In accordance with nature´s examples, in a Creatocracy all service providers (such as, hospitals, schools, and police) will emerge according to need and be regulated by Conflict Resolution Provider´s according to the mathematical laws provided to us by the example of an Evolutionary Stable Strategy and Game Theory.

The Conflict Resolution Provider´s would also emerge and evolve through nature´s example of emergence and natural selection.

The emergence of Navigators or providers within a Creatocracy arises from the directed nature of links that nodes (people) make to the hubs (providers). This creates the possibility of unconnected continents (communities) which exist in isolation, and are not connected to the main core. Four continents emerge within any directed network:

  • Central Core,

  • IN

  • OUT

  • Isolated Groups

The continents IN and OUT are somewhat isolated. One can get to but not return. I.e. the central core sells to but not buys from. Or one can get from but cannot arrive. I.e. the Central Core buys from but not sells to. The Isolated Groups exist independently. They can join or depart from the main continents, as they desire. I.e. trade between Islands and the Core is intermittent.

In such an environment new emergent features will inevitably arise. With some communities inevitably fairing better than others, which creates envious desire within people to join the more prosperous communities. This has the potential for conflicts of interest, which are judged accordingly by independent Conflict Resolution Providers (CRPs). For example, an already dominant group (or idea) would not wish to loose power to an emerging group. Thus the former would naturally try and forestall the latter.

However, in a Creatocracy independent CRPs are not installed from the top down, instead they emerge from the ground up and have a natural hierarchy according to their power of natural selection (attraction). They hold everyone accountable according to the laws and model of the Evolutionary Stable Strategy (ESS), and remain independent of "conflict of interest" because of affiliations with dominant forces.

If a Nasty person or provider emerges who is connected to the Central Core who exploits one of the Isolated Groups with Nasty strategies (levying distress to gain dominance) then accordingly the Central Core would be responsible for administering justice.

Likewise, if a Nasty person or provider from one of the Isolated Groups tries to exploit the Central Core, the Central Core will protect itself according to nature´s example of the Evolutionary Stable Strategy (ESS).

In such a system the protection arises from the nature of the Tit for Tat strategy (fight fire with fire). Using this strategy briefly and then returning to a Nice strategy ensures that Nasty people or providers cannot prosper, as they are judged according to the main law of Creatocracy "thou shall not exploit another´s distress". This is implemented by independent Conflict Resolution Providers (CRPs). The new Conflict Resolution System manages all conflicts of opinion and competing interests.
